I love that silly joke and have loved salads since I was a child. I used to tell my family that someday I would open a shop that served healthy salads and call it Lettuce In. I am very excited to say I have now realized two of my dreams, co-founding a school, where I was an educator for 23 years, and now The Lettuce Inn *.

The Lettuce Inn was founded with the aim of inspiring people to work healthy meals into their day, with delicious salads, sandwich wraps, soups and even pies! Our food is comprised of many of the superfoods so essential to good health. 

We use farm fresh non-GMO, organic ingredients, and we are known serving healthful food that tastes “too good to be healthy,” and for our commitment to providing vegan and raw-vegan options.

We know that once children taste veggies they love them but getting them to try is a little tricky. Visiting the Lettuce Inn is a great way to introduce your little ones to try new fruits and veggies. 

As former educators we have a special commitment to providing healthy school lunches to nourish healthy young minds. Ask about out Nut Free, School Lunch program.

Established in 2011. When we chose the name, Lettuce In, for our shop we thought we had the perfect one. We have been using the name since September of 2011. A multi-million dollar corporation headquartered in Chicago, has the trademark on the word “Lettuce”used as a pun. We were not aware of their trademark when we selected our name, and although we are in no way a threat to this corporation, they have insisted that we cease and desist from calling our shop “Lettuce In”. Thus, as of May 5, 2015 we will now be known as “The Lettuce Inn”. We are now using the word Lettuce as a noun. With our name change you can expect to see other changes, such as a small gift store, nutrition classes, and prepared family vegan take home meals.

You can expect to continue to receive high quality healthy food when you visit our shop. That will not change and is our top priority.
